Social Dilemma Screening
With the beginning of the new semester we would like to invite you to a special screening of ‘The Social Dilemma’ here at RWTH Aachen next week Wednesday, 20.04.2022. After the screening there will be an open discussion round about how we use social media and what we can do about the problems that arise from it.
In the movie ‘The Social Dilemma’, Silicon Valley insiders reveal how social media is reprogramming civilization by exposing what’s hiding on the other side of your screen.
We, as individuals – with our growing dependence on social media -, as well as by being part of a scientific body, the RWTH Aachen, are affected by and can actively contribute to shaping social media. As students, professors and staff we can take our part in the future of how social networking sites are designed, implemented and used.
Social media affects us all – so let’s come together to discuss. No special knowledge required.

Since we are expecting quite a few people we would ask you to get tested beforehand as well as keep wearing your masks so that everyone can feel a bit more safe. Looking forward to seeing you there!
